Executive Vice President of Practice Management
Mitzi Benoit serves as the Executive Vice President of Practice Mangement for Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS).
She brings more than 20 years of healthcare experience to CIS. She oversees the CIS Virtual Care Center, Intensive Cardiac Rehab, and Telecardiology programs at CIS, as well as other strategic service lines that CIS may develop in the future. Benoit earned both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
In 2015, Benoit joined CIS as the Practice Administrator for the Lafayette Southwest location. She was promoted to Virtual Care Center Administrator in 2017, where she transitioned the Virtual Care Center to a 24/7 operation and helped expand the service lines offered to include mobile cardiac telemetry, remote Warfarin management, and the NP night call program.
In 2020, she earned the CIS All Star Award, which is presented to an outstanding team player that demonstrates an all star’s attitude and dedication.
Benoit is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA).
