Executive Vice President of Cardiovascular Services
Ben Schuler, RN serves as the Executive VP of Cardiovascular Services at Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS).
Based in Baton Rouge, he is responsible for providing leadership and oversight to the cath lab teams at all CIS partner hospitals to ensure the delivery of high-quality and efficient patient care.
Schuler has been employed at CIS since 2015 as the Cath Lab Director at Baton Rouge General. During his time in this position, he was responsible for the growth and development of peripheral vascular procedures, complex coronary intervention, electrophysiology, and structural heart programs. He helped design and manage the build-out of two new cath labs and an electrophysiology lab. He participated in and spearheaded many process improvement initiatives, including door-to-balloon efficiencies, same-day discharge, and chest pain accreditation.
Schuler obtained his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from LSU School of Nursing in New Orleans in 2008, and he has a Master of Business Administration.
