HOUMA, LA- Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS) was named Large Business of the Year by the Houma-Terrebonne Chamber of Commerce at the 94th annual chamber banquet held January 30 at the Houma-Terrebonne Civic Center.
The large business of the year award recognizes companies that excel in community involvement, chamber involvement and economic value to the community. It is presented to businesses that have demonstrated ethical leadership and corporate stewardship, made a difference in their communities, and contributed to the advancement of important economic and social goals. In addition, the company must be supportive of the Chamber committees and events, active within the community, and offer an economic value to the community.
To be considered for the award, CIS submitted a detailed nomination and letters of recommendation that were acquired from other local businesses—all to demonstrate the impact that CIS has made on the community over the past 40 years.
“We are thrilled to accept this award on behalf of all our physicians and team members who strive each day to make CIS a special and integral part of our community,” said CIS CEO Ryan Hebert. “After 40 years of serving Houma-Terrebonne and working to fulfill our mission to provide our patients with the highest-quality cardiovascular care, we are proud to receive this honor on behalf of our entire team.”
